Rainbow-Goes to a Double One!

The April 24th, 2010 Rainbow goes to a double Rainbow! So exactly what is a Rainbow? According to the Merriam-Webster Collegiate Encyclopedia copyright 2000, a Rainbow is a series of concentric colored arcs that may be seen when light from a distant source--such as the sun--falls on a collection of water drops such as rain, spray, or fog. The rainbows are caused by the refraction and internal reflection light rays that enter the drop, each color being bent by a slightly different angle. Hence, the combined colors are separated upon emerging from the drop. This picture was taken by Tina Dean, Founder and President of G.H.O.S.T.
